Brandewyn en Melktert is lekker op hulle eie, maar die twee saam is heerlik!

So is die musiek van Blackie Swart en Jannie Moolman ook – 90 minute se musiek deur twee legendes. Blackie is meer as net Liewe Lulu en Jannie is meer as net Nessum Dorma. Van Liewe Lulu tot O Boereplaas, van Dire Straits tot Engelbert Humperdinck en tussenin Koos du Plessis, Johannes Kerkorrel, Lucas Maree en ‘n paar lekker verrassings om die aand mee af te rond. Brandewyn en Melktert is ‘n aand propvol nostalgiese musiek deur twee legendes van die Afrikaanse musiekbedryf. Tussendeur bly die humor ook nie agter nie en staaltjies uit hulle honderde optredes en verskeie toere laat die gehoor skaterlag. Ons vind wel deur die loop van die aand uit wie is Brandewyn en wie is Melktert!

Jannie en Blackie is albei reeds meer as 20 jaar in die musiekbedryf en saam met vervaardiger Giep van Zyl het hulle ‘n konsert bedink wat wyd byval sal vind. In Brandewyn en Melktert sal gehore nie net van Jannie en Blackie se bekendste musiek hoor nie, maar hulle sing en speel ook musiek van hulle eie helde. Elkeen van hulle word so bietjie uit sy eie gemaksone gehaal met ‘n paar uitdagende liedjies en hulle sing ook nuwe musiek wat eersdaags op elkeen se splinternuwe CD verskyn.

Khanyisa Bunu is a South African comedienne and actress best known for her starring role as domestic worker Nobuhle on the SABC1 sitcom Ses’Top La, joining the cast in Season 4 as a replacement for Brenda Ngxoli’s character Pinky.

Originally a teacher from Queenstown, she relocated to Johannesburg in 2008 and soon landed her first television gig – as a contestant on the first season of the SABC1 reality competition series So You Think You’re Funny. She placed sixth in the competition and decided to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.

Khanyisa has performed at numerous comedy festivals and events, including the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, the Soweto Comedy Festival, Blacks Only and 99% Xhosa Comedy.

Venues she has performed at include The Lyric Theatre, Carnival City, Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York, the Sand Du Plessis Theatre, Centurion Theatre, the South African State Theatre and Parker’s Comedy at Monte Casino.

She has made numerous television appearances as well, including on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola, the Comedy Central Roast Battle on Comedy Central and The Bantu Hour on SABC2.

In 2017 she landed her first starring acting role in television in SABC1’s sitcom Ses’Top La, replacing Brenda Ngxoli’s character Pinky from the fourth season.

Danie du Toit (Reënwolf) is one of the leading young names in Afrikaans songwriting. He rose to prominence as frontman and songwriter with the very popular band, Spoegwolf, which was formed in 2012. The band has had their own reality TV-series, Spoegwolf soek nuwe bloed, in which they traveled South Africa in search of young artists to collaborate with them on their hit songs, like Lenie Blou.

He is a published poet, has worked with the ATKV in coaching songwriters from across South Africa, and is very involved in community workshops. He is also currently busy with a PhD on Afrikaans film from the 1980s to the present.
